Tamara “Tammy” Sue Spurlock, 63, of Evening Shade, Arkansas, passed away on July 5, 2026, in Ash Flat, Arkansas.
Tammy was born on September 28, 1962, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Clifton L. Spurlock and Shirley Marie (Snyder) Spurlock. She was a faithful member of the Bettis Town Church of Christ and lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.
For eight years, Tammy worked as a traveling respiratory therapist, dedicating herself to the care and well-being of countless patients. She possessed a caring heart and a compassionate spirit that touched many lives throughout her career.
Family was the center of Tammy’s life. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and took great joy in supporting and encouraging them. She was also an active volunteer with the local fair and proudly served on the fair board for several years, contributing her time and energy to help make the annual event a success.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley Spurlock of Center, Arkansas; her sister, Etha Denton and husband Danny of Nelsonville, Arkansas; her nephew, Dustin Denton and wife Ashley; two great-nieces, Kindyl and Laramie; and one great-nephew, Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton L. Spurlock; her sister, Debbie Spurlock; and her grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the Bettis Town Church of Christ in Center, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the Bettis Town Church of Christ in Center, Arkansas, with Bro. Harold Davidson Officiating and interment following at Center Cemetery in Center, Arkansas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Denton, Danny Denton, Kenny Snyder, Rodney Snyder, Van Davidson, and Vondel Davidson.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, Salem, Arkansas.
