Texas Linda Evans, 78, of Franklin, Arkansas, passed away on November 11, 2025, in Franklin, Arkansas. She was born on July 28, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to John Richard and Bertha Mae (Baker) Greene.
Texas spent much of her life caring for others, dedicating her working years to healthcare as a devoted caregiver. She also worked for many years as a preschool teacher, sharing patience, encouragement, and compassion with countless children. She was of the Christian faith and lived her life with a spirit of generosity, kindness, and selflessness.
Texas was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She helped raise her grandchildren and supported her family with unwavering devotion.
She is survived by her son, Tim Evans (Heather) of Cullman, Alabama; and three grandchildren, Madysen Evans, Ayden Evans, and Keenyn Evans, all of Cullman, Alabama. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends who will remember her warmth, strength, and giving heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
The family will hold services at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
