Thurman Dorwood Crouch

Thurman Dorwood Crouch, 88, of Wheeling, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Salem, Arkansas. He was born to the late Thurman James Crouch and Flora Theodosia (Caldwell) Crouch on January 13, 1931 in Wheeling, Arkansas.

Dorwood was united in marriage to Patsy Jean Sutherland on July 5, 1951 in Wheeling, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Dorwood spent his working years as a manager of a luggage manufacturing company for twenty plus years and as a farmer. He served as secretary treasurer of the Fulton County Rural Water Association, was president of the Fox Hunters Club and was the founder of DHK manufacturing in 1994. He is a member of the Wheeling Church of Christ where he served as an Elder. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Dorwood leaves to mourn his passing; wife, Pat Crouch of Wheeling, Arkansas; daughter, Patti Wallace of Salem, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Calli Jean Schmidt (Rob) of Jacksonville, Florida, Katie Lafferty of Bentonville, Arkansas, Heath Rhodes (Kelly) of West Plains, Missouri, Keith Rhodes (Brenda) of Prescott, Arizona and Carolyn Wallace of Salem, Arkansas; eleven great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter (Vicki Rhodes), parents and two brothers (Clark Crouch and Cay Crouch).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Heath Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Monday, January 21, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Harmony Cemetery in Wheeling, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Keith Rhodes, Ralph Moore, Jim Walling, Reggie Gleghorn, Jackie Clayton and Gary Owens. Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children’s Home in Paragould, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
