Veneda (Dover) Zeigler

Veneda (Dover) Zeigler, age 93, of Salem, Arkansas was born on July 24, 1924 in Heart, Arkansas, daughter of William Gilbert (Gib) and Myra (Mooney) Dover. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in Ash Flat, Arkansas.                                                                                         Veneda was united in marriage to Orville Wayne Zeigler on February 14, 1946 and to this union two children were born. Veneda spent her working years as a homemaker, farmer, as a clerk at a variety store in Salem and also as head of the cafeteria at Salem Schools before retiring. She loved quilting, cooking and was a member of the Liberty Hill Church of Christ of Glencoe, Arkansas. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.         Veneda is survived by her two sons; Larry Zeigler and wife Sandy of Highland, Arkansas and Jerry Zeigler and wife Regena of Glencoe, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Renee Robinson and husband Scott of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Slade Zeigler and wife Jodi of Beebe, Arkansas and Tonya Gradner and husband Ricky of Koshkonong, Missouri; step grandson, Thomas Cunningham of Glencoe, Arkansas; eight great grandchildren, Seth Robinson, Sophie Robinson, Keeli Zeigler, Reece Zeigler, Evan Gardner, Trendon Gardner, Alexus Cunningham and Haley Cunningham; step sister, Hazel Barker of Salem and children Carla Richards, Bruce Barker and Steve Barker and wife Kim of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother in law (Rodney Barker).   Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Dale Godwin officiating. Interment will be in the Morriston Cemetery in Morriston, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Larry Zeigler, Jerry Zeigler, Scott Robinson, Slade Zeigler, Ricky Gardner and Seth Robinson. Memorials may be made to the Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehab in Ash Flat, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
