William "Bill" Frank Gerken

William “Bill” Frank Gerken, 62 , of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas was born on January 16, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, son of Wallace Frank and Delores Clara (Owens) Gerken. He departed this life on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri.   He spent his working years as a carpenter and attended services at Thayer Assembly of God Church. He was very active in AA, Celebrate Recovery and was very proud of the fact that he had been clean for seventeen years.   He is survived by his partner, Jennifer Steed; his children, Nicholas Gerken, Zack Gerken, William Gerken, Jr., Shanna Gerken, Morghan Gerken "Lizzy", and Grace Gerken “Sissy”; three grandchildren; brother, Keith Gerken; sister, Pamela Williams and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Celebration of life will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Grand Country Music Hall, 77 Music Hall Lane, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas 72554. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to Barker Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
