Willie Jim Nagel

Willie Jim Nagel, 92, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away from this life on Friday, April 26, 2024, in Salem, Arkansas. Willie was born to William Frederick Nagel and Nora Caledonia (Guy) Nagel on March 31, 1932, in Cadiz, Texas.  
 
Willie was united in marriage to Laura Jean Patterson on December 24, 1950, in Dalhart, Texas. Willie spent his working years as a Vault Administrator in Banking. Willie loved spending time with his family and friends, cattle, and antiquing. Willie also loved the Lord and was of Southern Baptist faith. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. 

Willie leaves to mourn his passing, son, Gary Nagel and wife Debbie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two daughters, Jeanie Butler of Salem, Arkansas and Sharon Gray and husband Doug of Salem, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife (Jean Nagel), parents (William and Nora Nagel), grandson (Joshua Gray), great granddaughter (Icelyn Brannstrom), and son-in-law (John Butler). 

The family will have services later. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
