Winnie Merrel Runsick

Winnie Merrel (Robins) Runsick, 84, of Millington, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Millington, Tennessee.  Merrel was born October 16, 1936 to Richard Robins and Kitty (Neal) Robins in Brockwell, Arkansas.

Merrel was married to Gallen Runsick on July 15, 1984 in Moko, Arkansas.  Merrel was a homemaker and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Merrel was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Merrel leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Gallen Runsick of Millington, Tennessee; three daughters, Renee’ Sutherland of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Eva McCord (Larry) of Millington, Tennessee, and Gayleen Davis of Mountain Home, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren, Michelle Marsh, David Wilson, Michael Thomas, Mark Thomas, Alisha Sutherland, Matthew Sutherland, Nathan Sutherland, Amy Mabe, Gretta Graham, Halie Graham, Robyn Johnson, Robert Davis and Christina Davis; many great grandchildren; three sisters, Imogene Spurlock, Caroline Cutter (Charlie) and Sammy Wilsey (Dennis); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Merrel is preceded in death by her parents, son (Michael Wilson), daughter (Patricia Southard), two grandsons (Daniel Southard and Bobby Dylan Johnson), three brothers (Travis Robins, Hale Robins and Howard Neal Robins) and sister (Ernestine Jones).

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 25, 2021 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro Dennis Wilsey officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service Monday, January 25, 2021 at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Powell’s Chapel Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas.  Pallbearers are Larry McCord, Kelvin McCord, Michael Wayne Thomas, Robert Mabe, Ray Patrick and Michael Southard. Honorary pallbearer will be Allen Knight. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.  

Please be mindful of our social distancing guidelines. We will have hand sanitizing stations set up at all entrances and exits and with the register book. Signs will be posted as well.
