Woodrow Eugene Hodges

Woodrow Eugene Hodges, 92, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas.  Woodrow was born April 20, 1928 to Horace James Hodges and Nora Lucy (Stephens) Hodges in Elizabeth, Arkansas.

Woodrow was united in marriage to Pauline Celestia Fore on January 11, 1949 in Salem, Arkansas.  Woodrow spent his working years a carpenter and was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas. Woodrow served his country in the United States Navy during Peacetime. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, uncle and friend.

Woodrow leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Pauline Hodges of Salem, Arkansas; two daughters, Martha Foster and husband Bob of Salem, Arkansas and Velna Everett and husband Curren of Salem, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Jackie Adams and wife Renea, Beth Ann Adams and Andrew Foster and wife Melody; seven great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren; brother, Cranford Hodges and wife Linda Gaye of Bakersfield, Missouri; sister, Virginia Ashley of Salem, Arkansas; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Woodrow is preceded in death by his son (Horace Ray Hodges), parents, seven brothers (Cleo, Elmo, Paul, Jarrel, James, Buel and Bradley) and two sisters (Marguerite Hodges and Kathryn Burnes).

Graveside memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges and Cranford Hodges officiating. Memorials may be made to the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas and the Elizabeth Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
