James Franklin Howell

James Franklin Howell, 78, of Bexar, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas.  James was born February 9, 1942 to Ode Howell and Daisy (White) Howell in Alton, Missouri.

James married Kathleen Dodd at Calico Rock, Arkansas in 1962 and to this union 4 children were born.  James spent his working years as a logger and was of the Baptist faith.  James loved his family and liked coon dogs and horses.  James was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.

James leaves to mourn his passing, daughter, Debbie Hensley and husband Gary of Bexar, Arkansas;  3 sons, James Michael Howell and wife Thersia of Bexar, Arkansas, Jimmy Lynn Howell and wife Tina of Salem, Arkansas, and Kelly Joe Howell and wife Jamie of Bexar, Arkansas;  5 grandchildren, Alichia Sinclair, Jessica Staack and husband Brian, Ariana Howell, Landon Howell and Emory Howell;  2 great grandchildren, Madison Howell and Lilly Sinclair;  brother, Pete Howell of Salem, Arkansas;  many other relatives and friends.  James is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother (Butch Howell), and 4 sisters, (Cordie, Carol, Loretta and Norm).

Graveside services will be Tuesday, 2:00 PM, September 15, 2020 at Bexar Cemetery in Bexar, Arkansas with Bro. Billy Plunkett officiating.  Interment will be in the Bexar Cemetery in Bexar, Arkansas.  Memorials may be made to the Bexar Cemetery Association.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
